Portrait of Ally Chelmu

Hi, I'm Ally.

I'm a product designer with 8 years of experience in digital product design. I really enjoy creative problem solving and building design systems that bring order to the chaos.

Before I got into UX, I worked as a Design Director, leading a team of five designers and overseeing all creative needs for a manufacturing company. Products I designed reached retailers worldwide including Urban Outfitters, Macy's, and Bed Bath & Beyond and I developed licensed collections and campaigns for brands like Marvel, Ford, and Corona.

In my most recent role, I lead a team of six designers on a centralized design system team at a large bank. Together, we evolved the system, supported our users, and collaborated everyday with engineers, accessibility experts, and content designers to create consistent, scalable, and accessible digital experiences.
